Coming Home (D.Coughran-Lane)
4 o'clock in the morning
To the airport again,
Taking off on that big tin bird Fly away.
18 hours in transit
What a waste of a day, Have a drink to pass the time away
Checking in to a new hotel
It's the same old thing everyday,
Living on the road
loosing track of the time & the day.
I'll be coming home,
I'm coming home to you.
I'll be coming home, coming home real soon
Living out of a suitcase
Got no clean clothes today
I'll just wear the same old shirt again & again.
Hit a bar for some time out, she saw me drinking away,
I wouldn't give her what she wants so she threw her drink in my face.

Three More Sleeps (D. Coughran-Lane)
Show is over all the folks are filing out,
We hit the bar & head out for a smoke.
There's endless wine & endless laughs as we reminisce,
of all the good times and the folks we've met.
We call stumps and head back to our rooms,
I still can't sleep, all I think about is you.
I pour a whiskey for a night cap or two,
I sit and look at a photo of you.
When I'm home
I'll hold you in my arms again
When I'm home
I'll watch you ride your bike and tuck you into bed.
I know It's hard to understand why daddy goes away,
but you'll be seeing me, in only three more sleeps.
I woke up in a different hotel room once again
I wonder where we are and where it is we've been
I stumbled down to grab a bite to eat,
I jump into the old bus with the not so comphy seats
Spoke to you, on the telephone last night,
You told me 'bout your day, and all the things you did.
The dog is fine but all he wants to do is eat.
I really miss you dad but I've got to go to sleep.

Whiskey Bottle Blues (D. Coughran-Lane)
Been out here for a long, long time
I know it's hard for you at home
Doing what I can to make it right
You won't talk to me on the phone
Hit the bar till the sun comes up
Lots of friends around but still I feel alone
Not as glamorous as it all seems,
I got the Whiskey Bottle Blues
We're in different towns every single night,
But it's what we love to do
We rarely talk of missing home
But I know we always all do

Reality Bat (D. Coughran-Lane)
Landed on the Tarmac, finally back home,
52 days on the road
Boy that time has flown
You meet me at the airport
And on the drive back home
You start to tell me all the things I need to do at home
Reality Bat,
Reality Bat
Mow the lawn, wash the dog
Take the bins out too
Put away that damn guitar, and that stinky suitcase too.
Reality Bat
Alarm went off this morning, Drag myself from bed,
Pack the lunch and pack the bag,
school runs on again.
Hung out all the washing,
Vacuumed all the floors
The cover came right off that bat and welcomed me back home
The car broke down this morning, my phone got cut off too,
The debt collectors at the door not much that I can do
